Metro Baptist Church had it's first service on July 15, 1973 , as a result of God's call on my life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God's direct leading to Belleville, MI to start an Independent, Fundamental, Soul Winning church. We sincerely care for individuals, as well as families. My deep desire as a Christian, is that as many as possible be given God's plan for Heaven, and that each would have the opportunity to be saved. My desire as Pastor, is that each child of God would grow in their walk with Him, and that they would fulfill God's purpose for their lives. Metro Baptist Church is not a spiritual museum to show ourselves off, but rather a spiritual hospital to help the hurting, and a spiritual health food store to strengthen and encourage God's people.

2010 Young Fundamentalist Conference
"Come Ready To Play"
Date - April 9 & 10, 2010
The Cost is $10 for Friday and $10 for Saturday
Dress code for the Conference is Casual Dress for both days.
The Conference will begin at 6pm on Friday. There will be pizza following the service on Friday night. We will finish up Friday night under the lights at the Van Buren Park for a "Sinners vs. Saints" softball game. The game will start at 9:00pm at the park which is located 1.5 miles from the church. The game will end at 11:00pm. The Saints team will be made up of Youth Pastors, Youth Workers and Pastors. The Sinners team will be made up of teenage young men. Two young men from each church are needed to play in the game.
There will be a Home Run Derby between Mike Hamilton from Demarini and John Vaprezsan from Miken.
Saturday morning sessions begin at 8:30am. There will be a special breakfast on Saturday for staff kids with the Schaaps. The conference will conclude with a Home Run Derby, to be played by one teenager from each church. This Derby will determine the winner of the 'special prize' given each year to a LUCKY Youth Pastor. The conference will end at 12:30pm on Saturday and lunch will be served.
